Pantai Ground Preserved Fish Sauce (often sold in a 300ml bottle, which weighs approximately 345g) is a thick,, savory, and highly pungent condiment staple in Southeast Asian (particularly Thai and Vietnamese) cuisine. It is made from fermented, ground pickled gouramy fish, providing a deep umami flavor.
Intense, savory, salty, and earthy, with a much thicker texture and stronger aroma than clear fish sauce.
Best Used For: Essential in Northern/Northeastern Thai (Isaan) cuisine, specifically for Som Tum (green papaya salad), fermented dipping sauces (Mam Nem), stews, and hot pots.
Ingredients: Pickled Gouramy Fish (approx. 80%), Fish Sauce (Anchovy Extract, Salt, Sugar), Rice Powder, and Flavor Enhancers (MSG: E621).
